Small Wins

Hello friends. As some of you may have noticed (I know of one singular person for sure who reads this), I missed March. I apologize terribly (to readers as well as myself). But this year I’m really working on giving myself more grace, and this is meant to be a fun side project anyway, right? (*sweats nervously*). So, I could wax poetic about how the world is a dumpster fire right now and how I’m constantly battling watching in horror and shutting everything out, or that I didn’t make time in March, but also work and life and mental illness… As it may be, I’m happy to be writing this now.

I pondered this month for a while (too long really). I had many different ideas, but ultimately (and largely because of how late it became), I chose something a bit silly and simplistic (but still sweet).

I recently discovered you can make a postcard out of anything?? How cool? So, I took my usual plunge through my recycling bin and pulled some fun cardboard boxes and attacked them with some scissors and a micron pen, and, as pictured, now I have some fun postcards to send to friends and family! I just traced a 4×6 picture on old pasta and microwave popcorn boxes, but here’s a website from the Smithsonian that can help too!

I think it’s more important than ever to stay in touch with loved ones. Community is what we need right now, and I’m sending these out to the pillars of my personal community. (the ones written out are going to my little brother and nephew : )) Hopefully this post will inspire you to do the same and show you that it’s never been easier. : )

Warmly,

Lacey
